Yandex.ru which is the top search engine in Russia, has launched its international version that we can use as an alternative to google in Yandex.com. Although this Yandex.com just launched, but in fact they are already struggling in the search for long enough so no surprise that the results obtained in Yandex.com quite relevant and no less than google.com.
Currently Yandex.com still gives the status of alpha in their search service even though the quality of the results can be quite okay. According to them, in fact since 2 years ago they have started to index the non-Russian site and add it to their search engine database.
The authors have tried searching for "Russian President" and compare them with results on Google.com. Both produce a list of different but quite interesting also because the results are offered Yandex.com also remain relevant. Yandex even directly revise a typing error in the word "president" to "president" automatically in the search box.
In fact we tried to do a test search in the Indonesian language, for the keyword "latest technology news" where Yandex display beritateknologi.com in top search results. But it's Yandex search results in the Indonesian language is still less okay than their English results.
According to an internal person Yandex, a new global search engine is still considered to be a platform to test new algorithms and not a service that can be used up by the public.
Even so there is the marketing agent of the British search engine Yandex mention that it can be said the best search engine today. There's even a mention cleaner Yandex search results than Google from spam. Currently, Yandex has been indexing 4 billion pages with Latin letters, mostly in English.
